short ribs

there is a lot of physical pain in my life, hence the garrishly colored rib cage. on the left half there are so many layers of paint. so many colors. so many different kinds of brush strokes.

as is usual for me. there aren't very many smooth, even brush strokes. you can just about always see my brush strokes. eyes have been at the forefront of my mind. i'm not entirely sure why, though i like portraying them. i do much better with colored pencils or technical pens.

still, painting has such a different feel to it, so much more earthy and real as in having soul not as in realistic. i love to be able to just keep adding the paint and then covering it up and then and then!
